We’re delighted to be invited to the Upton Blues Festival next year. We look forward to playing to lots of fans of Rory Gallagher and sharing our special connection with him that is so much part of Joe O’Donnell’s musical history.
Shkayla is a Celtic band through and through, but as individuals we have played blues all our lives, and it’s not as far removed as you might think.
More details to follow.

Joe will also be giving an informal talk about how he got to know Rory and the playing they did together in the UK and in the USA.
To get a flavour of their collaboration have a listen to Storytellers, the single released with Joe’s 1977 album Gaodhal’s Vision, now in its lusciously re-worked format.
